🎶 What is Fête de la Musique?
Started in France in 1982, Fête de la Musique — also known as World Music Day — is held every year on June 21st, the day of the summer solstice. The idea is beautifully simple: bring music out of the concert halls and into the streets — free and open to all. On this day, cities across the world transform into open-air stages where professional musicians and amateur artists alike come together to celebrate the unifying power of music. With genres ranging from jazz and classical to hip-hop and folk, the festival embraces musical diversity and cultural connection.
