Our dedicated volunteers, who have undergone comprehensive training, are ready to assist visitors and enhance their experience.

Day 1 Training: Exploring Indian Heritage with Team Le Frehindi

Our volunteers embarked on a three-day training session at the iconic India House, gaining the necessary skills and knowledge to serve visitors effectively. Here’s a detailed look at what they learned on the first day:

Mastering Retail Operations at the India House Pavilion

Understanding retail operations is crucial for a seamless visitor experience. Our volunteers learned to:

  1. Bill Items Efficiently: Managing the billing process to ensure a smooth and accurate checkout.
  2. Handle the Cash Counter: Managing the cash counter with precision, ensuring all transactions are smooth and accurate.
  3. Process Payments: Handling payments via cash and card, providing visitors with convenient payment options.
  4. Generate Invoices: Creating detailed invoices that accurately reflect each transaction.
  5. Scan Items: Using advanced scanning technology for quick and error-free inventory tracking and checkout.
Understanding the Origins and Significance of Indian Artifacts

A significant part of the training involved learning about the history and origins of the items on display. Our volunteers were educated on:

  • Historical Context: Understanding the rich history behind each artifact and artwork.
  • Cultural Significance: Discovering the unique attributes and cultural importance of each item.
  • Regional Roots: Learning about the state or family each item comes from and the traditional techniques used in their creation.
Enhancing Visitor Experience Through Knowledge Sharing

Equipped with this knowledge, our volunteers are ready to:

  • Educate Visitors: Sharing detailed information about the products, including their history, origin, and significance.
  • Enrich Visitor Experience: Helping visitors appreciate the value of Indian art, culture, and heritage through engaging interactions.
