Celebrating the Triumphs of Indian Paralympians at Paris Paralympics 2024

India has achieved its best-ever performance at the Paris Paralympics 2024, surpassing the remarkable medal tally from the Tokyo Paralympics! Our athletes have showcased extraordinary skill, determination, and perseverance on the global stage, making every Indian proud. With a total of 24 medals already secured – including 5 gold, 9 silver, and 10 bronze – and more events yet to come, this historic achievement is a testament to the unwavering spirit and dedication of our Paralympians, who continue to inspire millions with their phenomenal performances.

What Are the Paralympics?

The Paralympics are a major international multi-sport event involving athletes with a range of disabilities. These athletes compete at the highest levels of competition, demonstrating incredible athleticism, strength, and resilience. The Paralympic Games take place shortly after the Olympic Games and serve as a powerful symbol of inclusion and determination. Through their outstanding performances, Paralympians not only break records but also challenge perceptions of disability, proving that with perseverance, anything is possible.
