Among them, Mme Kiran Chaudhry and Mme Mme Jaya Gadgil stood out as pillars of expertise and inspiration, making the event truly special.
Expertise That Made a Difference
Mme Kiran Chaudhry, recipient of the “Officier dans l’ordre des Palmes académiques,” the highest civilian honor from the French government, is a senior professor at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. A former chairperson of the Centre for French and Francophone Studies at JNU and convener of the CBSE French syllabus, Mme Chaudhry’s profound expertise and leadership enriched the event’s academic rigor. Her association with the Ministry of Education for the preparation of Hindi-French dictionaries further underscores her exceptional contributions to language education. Throughout the event, she remained vigilant, ensuring no detail went unnoticed. Her meticulous judgment upheld fairness for all participants, making the competition a true test of linguistic excellence.
Mme Jaya Gadgil, former Head of the Department of French at Fergusson College and professor at Alliance Française de Pune, is also the Vice President of the Indian Association of Teachers of French (IATF). Her extensive experience and dedication have inspired countless students and educators alike. During the live rounds, Mme Gadgil was effortlessly kind and generous to all participants, creating a warm and encouraging atmosphere. Yet, she remained fair and focused, ensuring the integrity of the competition. Her balanced approach played a crucial role in guiding participants and making the event a memorable experience for everyone involved.

Their contributions extended beyond the stage. Mme Chaudhry and Mme Gadgil were instrumental in addressing queries from students, parents and teachers, providing clarity and reassurance throughout the competition.
