The 27th of January, 2024 marked the 11th Edition of the International French Language Spell bee competition organized by the Le Frehindi held at India International Centre, C D Deshmukh Auditorium with a memorable day of some great moments cherished.

The event was attended by some exceptionally intelligent school students from various institutions from across the country. The students were accompanied by their respective teachers and parents to the event. They participated in various activities and competitions organized by the Le Frehindi and the winners were also awarded with some amazing gifts. The teachers of the rank holders were also felicitated by the organizers and the jury.

The day-long event was scheduled in various stages as follows;

Registration:- The day started with the registration of shortlisted students who had come to the event for participation to the competition. More than 100 students along with their respective teachers and parents marked their presence to the event. Team Le Frehindi welcomed all the students along with their teachers on the registration desk. 

Prelims round: – A Prelims round was conducted in the Conference Hall to proceed with the following events of the day. This was the first round of the day that the students had to qualify in order to advance to the finals. 

Welcome Speech: – A welcome speech addressing the attendees was given by the organizers. A warm welcome with a spirit of positive learning and motivation was extended to the participants.

Secondary The secondary round for all the students who qualified for the Prelims round was completed which ensured only the winners were filtered for the Final round. 

The Secondary round was divided into three categories:- Beginners, Intermediate, and Advanced levels

Snacks and Lunch Break:- A snack break as well as a lunch break was given to the participants for refreshment. Le Frehindi provided the students and others present in the event to connect with each other during these informal settings. 

Final round: – Final rounds for all the shortlisted students of each level were conducted. The final rounds showcased the exceptional memory and language knowledge of students of all levels making it really tough to decide the rank holders.

Prize distribution:-The event marked its end by word by the esteemed judges’ Professor Kiran Chaudhary (Jawaharlal Nehru University) and Professor Jaya Gadgil (Alliance Française Pune) who then felicitated the rank holders with prizes. It was followed by a vote of thanks by the Anchor to all the participants, parents, teachers, and guests for their valuable presence at the event.

 Later, a special High Tea was arranged for the guests and the volunteers who contributed to the great success of this event.
